Natural Maternity & Newborn Photography in Falmouth & South West Cornwall
The early days of motherhood pass quietly and quickly. A growing bump, slower walks, the softness of home, the closeness of those first weeks.
These sessions are shaped and photographed by Annie, with a gentle, mother-to-mother approach. They’re calm, unhurried and centred around connection — meeting you where you are, whether that’s outdoors during pregnancy or at home with your newborn.
Nothing forced. Nothing overly posed. Just a natural telling of early motherhood.
How sessions work
You can choose a maternity session, a newborn session, or both together.
Maternity sessions usually take place outdoors in natural locations around Falmouth and South West Cornwall. We move slowly, keeping things relaxed and comfortable.
Newborn sessions take place in your home, allowing space for feeding, settling and simply being together. There’s no expectation for your baby to sleep — we follow the natural rhythm of your family.
Some families choose both sessions, creating a gentle story from pregnancy through to the early days with your baby.
After each session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can choose the images you love.

Mothers Photography FAQs
Can we book just a maternity or just a newborn session?
Yes, absolutely. You’re welcome to book either session individually. Some families choose both, allowing us to gently document the journey from pregnancy through to the early days with your baby.
When is the best time for a maternity session?
Maternity sessions usually take place between 30–35 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible but you’re still comfortable moving outdoors. If you’re unsure, we can help guide you.
When should newborn sessions take place?
Newborn sessions typically take place within the first 2–4 weeks, but there’s no strict deadline. We take a relaxed approach and work around how you and your baby are feeling.
What if my baby doesn’t sleep?
That’s completely fine. We don’t rely on posed or sleeping images. We photograph feeding, holding, settling and natural moments — simply documenting your baby as they are.
Do newborn sessions take place at home?
Yes. Newborn sessions take place in your home, where everything feels familiar and comfortable. This helps keep the experience calm and unhurried.

What if my home feels messy or small?
There’s no need to worry. We work with natural light and simple spaces, often using just one or two areas. Real homes create meaningful, personal photographs.
Can partners and siblings be included?
Yes, absolutely. These sessions naturally include the whole family, allowing us to capture connection and those early days together.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing clothing that feels like you. Simple, comfortable pieces work beautifully. Soft tones and natural textures tend to photograph well and help keep the focus on connection rather than clothing.
For maternity sessions, we also have a small, thoughtfully considered wardrobe available. Most of these pieces are simple, throw-on additions designed to gently accentuate your bump and the natural curves of the maternal body.
How long do sessions last?
Sessions are relaxed and flexible, usually around an hour. We allow time for feeding, settling and simply taking things slowly.
How many images will we receive?

What if the baby arrives early or late?
