Session Terms & Participation Agreement

These terms are intended to create clarity, trust, and ease, so everyone can be fully present during their Folkship experience.

Acceptance of Terms
By booking a session with Folkship Studio, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Session Terms & Participation Agreement.

Acceptance is given on behalf of all members of your household attending the session.

Booking & Payment
Your session is confirmed once payment has been received. Payment is required within the timeframe stated on your invoice or booking confirmation. Sessions may be released or rescheduled if payment is not received by the due date.

Rescheduling & Cancellations
We understand that family life is unpredictable. If you need to reschedule your session, please let us know as soon as possible and we will always aim to accommodate changes due to illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session may result in the booking fee being retained.

Our Approach & Artistic Style
Folkship sessions are gently guided rather than directed, shaped by connection, movement, and shared moments. By booking, you place trust in our creative approach, visual style, and editing process. Image selection and final edits are made at the photographer’s discretion. RAW or unedited files are not provided.

Weather & Seasonal Conditions
Sessions take place in natural settings and reflect the season as it is. Weather, light, and environmental conditions form part of the experience and cannot be guaranteed. Sessions will only be postponed if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable for photography.

Participation & Responsibility
Sessions may involve walking, exploring, and gentle movement in outdoor environments. The supervising adult is responsible for the care, safety, and behaviour of all children during the session. Participation is voluntary and undertaken with awareness of the natural surroundings.

Image Delivery
Final images will be delivered via a private online gallery within the timeframe agreed at booking (typically 2–4 weeks). Galleries are available for a limited time; clients are responsible for downloading and safely storing their images.

Usage & Copyright
Folkship Studio retains copyright of all images.

Clients are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to print and share images for personal use. Images may not be altered, sold, or used commercially without prior written consent.

Image Use (Model Release)
Unless otherwise requested in writing, clients grant Folkship Studio permission to use selected images for portfolio, website, and studio marketing purposes. Images are always shared thoughtfully and respectfully.

If you would prefer your images not to be used publicly, please let us know — this choice is fully respected.

Printing & Colour
Please note that colours may vary slightly between screens and printed products due to differences in display and printing processes. This is a natural part of photography and print production.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control
In the unlikely event that a session cannot take place due to circumstances beyond our control — including severe weather, illness, or equipment failure — Folkship Studio will offer a rescheduled date or, where appropriate, a refund.

Limitation of Liability
While every care is taken, Folkship Studio’s liability is limited to the value of the session fee paid, except where liability cannot be limited under UK law.

Data & Privacy
Client information is stored securely and used solely for booking, communication, and image delivery, in accordance with UK data protection regulations.
