The experience
Time together, without the pressure to perform.
Most families arrive feeling a little nervous. Parents worry they won’t know what to do, and whether their children will cooperate. That’s completely normal.
Your children don’t need to perform for us. They only need to be children.
We plan the location, light and timing carefully, then gently guide you through the experience. We’ll walk, explore, talk and make room for everyone to settle into their own rhythm.
It feels less like posing for photographs and more like spending time together somewhere beautiful.

From the first conversation to the photographs arriving, we take care of the decisions that can make family photography feel overwhelming.

Before your story
We begin with a conversation about your family: what your children enjoy, the places you love and anything you’re worried about.
We’ll recommend a location and choose the time around the light, tides, weather and your family’s natural rhythm. You’ll also receive straightforward guidance on clothing and what to bring.

The experience
We’ll meet you somewhere beautiful and take it gently from there. We carry the bags, welcome the children and give everyone time to settle.
For 90–120 minutes, we walk, explore and create together. Danny and Annie both photograph every Family Story, giving you space to enjoy being together while we quietly capture the whole experience.

Afterwards
We carefully edit the complete story and deliver it as a beautiful online gallery.
You can download and share your photographs, and we’ll help you choose the images you’d most love to print and live with at home.

Every Family Story is photographed by both of us.It means one of us can gently guide the experience while the other notices what’s unfolding around it—the child holding a parent’s hand, the expression nobody else saw, or the quiet moment happening just beyond the main photograph.
It also gives children more freedom. While one of us is talking, exploring or winning someone round, the other can keep telling the story without making anyone feel watched.
You receive a richer, more complete record of your family—not simply more photographs, but more perspectives on the same time together.

A few things you might be wondering
What if our children don’t cooperate?
Your children don’t need to perform for us. We’re parents too, and we know that children arrive with their own moods, energy and ideas. We’ll give them time, follow their curiosity and gently adapt the experience around them.
What happens if it rains?
We keep an eye on the forecast and stay in touch as your date approaches. Cornwall’s weather can add real atmosphere, but if the conditions would make the experience uncomfortable or unsafe, we’ll agree on the best alternative together.
How will we choose a location?
We’ll recommend somewhere that suits your family, the season and the kind of experience you’d enjoy. We consider the light, tides, weather, accessibility and the ages of your children, taking that decision off your shoulders.
What should we wear?
Once your date is confirmed, we’ll give you straightforward guidance. We’ll help you choose clothes that feel like you, work comfortably together and sit beautifully within the landscape—without making everyone look overly coordinated.
When are Family Stories available?
Because every Family Story is photographed by both Danny and Annie, availability is intentionally limited. Tell us a little about your family and the dates you have in mind, and we’ll find the right time together.
Is travel included?
We photograph throughout Cornwall and will help you choose the right location. If your chosen place falls outside our usual area, additional travel may apply. We’ll always discuss this with you before confirming anything.
