Folkship is a Cornwall-based photography studio, working primarily around Falmouth and the surrounding coastline, documenting family life as it really feels — unhurried, connected, and gently observed.

Our work spans family, maternity, and newborn photography, all approached with the same care and intention. We believe the most meaningful images are made when people feel at ease, when there is space to slow down, and when moments are allowed to unfold naturally.

Sessions take place outdoors, at home, or in places that feel familiar and grounding — shaped by who you are, and where you are right now.

Mothers

A maternity & newborn offering by Folkship

Mothers brings together pregnancy and the early newborn days as one continuous story.

Held by Annie, these sessions are slow, intuitive, and shaped by shared understanding — of motherhood, of changing bodies, and of the quiet shift that happens as a baby arrives.

Rather than separating maternity and newborn photography, Mothers allows space for both — documenting the lead-up, the arrival, and the earliest days of closeness.

There is no pressure to pose or perform.

Only time, care, and connection.

We now work with families across Cornwall who want photographs that feel honest, joyful, and rooted in real moments.

The work is shaped by nature, the seasons, and the people we photograph.
